As a travel blogger from Cebu living abroad, I am very proud to be associated with the biggest name in travel from my hometown – Cebu Pacific Air. I am so overwhelmed at the thought of my little blog reaching interested advertisers of such great magnitude!
I will be helping them to promote their company and in return they will help me to keep my blog running. Isn’t it amazing!?
I feel it is an honour to help my fellow compatriots (Kabayans!) to be recognised internationally. Nothing makes me feel prouder than my Cebu roots, the same place where Chinese-Filipino billionaire, John Gokongwei comes from.
With his interesting riches-to-rags-to-riches story, John Gokongwei is now the third wealthiest entrepreneur in the Philippines with a networth of $3.2 billion.
Cebu Pacific, as one of his largest businesses, has just completed the new Airbus A330-300 aircraft that will be used for daily flights between Manila and Dubai. The flights will be fully operational this coming October 7, 2013. It is the first long haul operation directly from Philippines to Dubai and I’m pretty sure that Filipinos around Dubai are rejoicing for this wonderful news – a big step for Philippines to make a mark internationally.
I feel it is a very bold decision for the budget airline to extend their service for Filipinos working abroad. I can’t wait to be in service with Cebu Pacific soon.
“CEB is proud to be the only Filipino carrier to fly direct to Dubai. We are glad to be of service to over 700,000 Global Filipinos who are in UAE. Now, our kababayans in Dubai can enjoy fares that are up to 40% lower than current offerings and fly direct to Manila, a mere 9 hours away from their loved ones, via a CEB flight,” said Alex Reyes Cebu Pacific General Manager, Long Haul Division.
