It was my third time to visit Lamesa and I totally forgot the taste of being home! I reckon that it has been almost a year since the last time I had Crispy Pata and Grilled Liempo. I was so delighted with the food so I decided to share it to you.
Lamesa is located beside Asiana Hotel same building as Boracay (one of the famous Filipino bar in Dubai) and Makati Bar. If you plan to go during weekends I advise to call for reservations because they are usually full. We went there on a Saturday night and the place was bustling.
This is a favourite place for “kabayans” simply because they serve alcohol. FYI: Alcohol are usually served in a restaurant / bar inside a hotel. For a price of 50 dirhams you get to enjoy Buffet type with more than 20 dishes and combination of International (drinks are not included).
Typical Filipinos they went straight to the main course! I wanted to prolong the agony so I went to the appetizer section where I took dumplings, Thai spring roll and the macaroni salad.
For my main course I gave in and took one of each dish that I missed. I had Chicken Adobo, Inihaw na Liempo, Crispy Pata, Sisig, Pancit Canton, Chicken Manchurian and Fried rice. It was all heavenly sinful. Oh the sauce where you dip the Crispy Pata is amazing!
I was lucky to leave some space for dessert although I’m not a big fan of sweets. So what other Filipino restaurant can you suggest?
Share your thoughts! xoxo
