Who doesn’t love afternoon tea?  Regarded as a customary tradition amongst the wealthy classes in England in the 19th century and eventually have evolved and had practised in all classes.

There are plenty of amazing afternoon tea choices in Dubai but one that stand out is Rhodes W1, owned by the famous English restaurateur, Gary Rhodes.

We hosted an event for one of our client last month and me having to visit it the first time feels like I was in a fairy tale (Alice And The Wonderland). The place has an inviting atmosphere – with stunning details of interiors and a lovely pop of colours.

Sandwiches are the first food to arrive, served on a tiered stand. My favourite is the top one – cream cheese and chive! All tastes so good that you obviously know you’re eating a carefully prepared food made with high quality ingredients and yes all ingredients are ordered directly from UK.

Quail’s egg mayonnaise and cress, Smoked salmon, Coronation chicken, Tomato and sweet chilli are included on the first tray.

Then after a few chat the second tray arrived (which is the most awaited part), consists of homemade scones and crumpets. Scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream is the best!

All in all I would like to give thanks to the exceptionally amazing staff for looking after us and our guests. For sure, there will be more visits soon!
